Hustlin for Pennies review

Hustlin for pennies is the new video collaboration between KFC's Adam Johnson and the East Coast's Chris Majette. They've both edited a few sections each and put it all together into one video.
This is truly a killer video. It's short and sweet with its little over 20 minutes of length. Adam Johnson has edited the first two sections, which feature a lot of KFC skating as well as good skating from all over the US. Instead of mixing all the tricks in a big random pot, more than one trick by the same skater is shown after eachother. This works out for the better.
Ryan Northway has a sick profile! He skates very clean and does some sick and unusual switch-ups – very nice to watch. He skates to a sort of a enya song, which is complemented by having blue effects whenever a blue sky is filmed. I personally don't like this kind of editing, but I guess it doesn't destroy too much, as it doesn't interfer too much with the skating. I showed the video to some skate friends, who thought it was the bomb!
After this Chris Majette takes over with some sections, which is a little bit different in style – but still simple – so it all works together. Unfortunately I had seen some of the tricks in the video I think from the Salomon video as well as the EGO video. other than that, it was sick. His last section had a very very chill rap song, which made my eyes struggle for keep watching.
Now – the Kelsos section! DAMN! This is the highlight of the video for sure… with Ryan Northways section as a good runner-up. The brothers skates amazing with a whole lot of speed thrown into it. Be prepared to be amazed!!!
The video has its bonus material in the video itself instead of in separate menu items in the DVD menu. This means that once the video is over after a little over 20 minutes, a bunch of bonus sections start, which are of lower quality skating than the movie itself. So stop the video after the credits if you don't want to get dissapointed. The video itself is truly one of the better out there!
This video definitely deserves a spot in your video collection – and with the harsh critique I usually give, that is a very fine rating! So go get it now!
